Paul Jr. (the other band members call him "Bubba") was born and lived in Shreveport, LA. until 1991
when he moved to Houston, TX. He grew up listening to
bluegrass as his parents and grandparents from both sides
of the family had a deep love for bluegrass music. That
love was passed to Paul and he began learning to play the
fiddle around the beginning of 1995. It was in the end
of 1998 when Paul became real serious about playing music
and devotes much of his time to one of the things he loves
the most, playing the fiddle. Some of his all time
favorite bluegrass comes from Flatt & Scruggs, The Stanley
Brothers, Bill Monroe, and Jimmy Martin. Although he plays
the fiddle for Big Sandy Bluegrass, Paul can also play a
mandolin, guitar, and a little on the bass. He never
intends to quit playing instruments and will never stop
listening to good hard-driving traditional bluegrass.
